It is with great sadness that the death of Her Majesty The Queen has been announced.

Councillor Barbara Thomas, Chairman of the Parish Council, has said:
‘On behalf of Barton-le-Clay Parish Council, we join the nation in expressing our sadness at the news of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathy are with the Royal Family at this time’.

Books of Condolence will be open from 9am Saturday 10th September 2022 at various locations throughout the county, including the main reception areas at Bedford Borough Council, Luton Borough Council and Central Bedfordshire Council (Priory House). Offices at Council buildings will remain open from 08.00hrs – 17.00hrs until the day after the funeral.
Should residents wish to lay flowers they can be placed around the War Memorial but please remove all plastic and cellophane before leaving them.
