Central Bedfordshire Council have released the list of potential development sites to be included in the next Central Bedfordshire Council Local Plan. The Local Plan will guide how Central Bedfordshire grows up to 2050, including the homes, jobs and infrastructure needed, while helping to protect communities and the environment.
They are inviting residents, businesses and organisations to comment on the sites that have been put forward for possible inclusion in the plan. All views are welcomed, particularly focusing on the sites within our local area, where local knowledge will be most valuable.
Several sites within Barton-le-Clay, and the surrounding area, are included and it is now more important than ever that residents have their say to protect the Village and its green spaces.
The Parish Council have arranged a public meeting for next Monday, 20th July 2026 at 7.30pm at the Village Hall, to give residents an opportunity to understand more about the process and how it will impact them.
