Central Bedfordshire Council are consulting on an application for Outline Planning in respect of building up to 3850 new homes and facilities on the Land North of Higham Road and East of the A6 Bedford Road, Barton-le-Clay: Greenwoods Development Site Notice
The Parish Council is currently working with other Parish Councils, local Ward Councillors, local Organisations and residents from across the surrounding villages impacted by the potential development. The deadline for any objections to be submitted is the 1st July 2021.
A Facebook Group has been set up by local residents fighting against the proposed development – “No to Greenwoods New Town“. They have published a leaflet advising residents about the development: Greenwoods development Final Leaflet (1). The Parish Council will discuss the application at their next meeting in June. Residents are welcome to share their comments with the Parish Council but please remember that we are only one consultee and all residents need to submit their objections to Central Beds Council for their voices to be heard.
